“The Studio”, tucked away on the first floor, entered privately from outside, is a place where magic and escape intertwine. Dreamy linens and pillows deck the king sized bed that sits perfectly in the beautifully handcrafted bookshelf brimming with books that seem to hold secrets of their own. The choice is yours, whether to set forth on an adventure in town, stay in bed, or nestle into the cozy reading nook where the allure of a captivating book awaits, ready to transport you to another world.

The Studio comfortably sleeps two and features a cozy reading nook, a bistro-style table with chairs, an antique rocking chair, and a bar sink paired with a mini fridge, microwave, wine bucket, keurig, and tea kettle. Guests can enjoy Horn & Hardart coffee and a selection of Mrs. Robinson’s teas. The vintage-tiled shower adds charm to the bathroom, complemented by a curated collection of signature Bookhouse Hotel bath products. A custom-built bookcase houses a collection of hundreds of books, alongside collected artwork and unique found objects that give the space its distinctive character. EXTRA NOTES ABOUT THE ROOM
The Studio sits at a lively corner near a traffic light, and street noise can be noticeable, especially to light sleepers. To help, we provide a white noise machine and ear plugs for your comfort. If you’re sensitive to sound, this may not be the ideal room for you. To access this room, there are a few steps leading up to the entrance. It is not accessed from the lobby, it has an outside entrance only.

“The Study” is accessed on the first floor from the lobby or for a touch of privacy, through its own porch entrance. Made to inspire writers and romantics, “The Writer’s Den” is a second floor suite accessible via a private staircase off the lobby. The room becomes your personal library, filled with romance novels and classic tales. The king sized bed sits under a beautifully crafted bookshelf. The velvet plush sofa turns into a twin bed to host another traveler. And then, there’s the clawfoot tub where you can soak away the cares of the day. Up a few more stairs to the attic, you’ll discover shelves lined with books and snug reading nooks, perfect for bookworms seeking a retreat. This room has become a guest favorite!

The room features a bistro set in the separate kitchenette space featuring a mini fridge, wine bucket, microwave and bar sink. The 3rd floor gives additional space to hangout and lounge. This is our most spacious suite. Inspired by Longwood Gardens and of course, the novel, this two bedroom, bi-level suite is designed to accommodate up to 4 guests. Our largest suite in the hotel, it has two separate bedrooms adorned with custom bookshelves housing a diverse collection of books for all travelers to enjoy. For the traveler seeking a moment of solitude, the clawfoot tub awaits. The true magic of this suite unfolds upstairs, where you’ll discover an attic space filled with books and cozy sitting areas. The Bookhouse invites all guests to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
